WORKSHOP DETAILS:
In this two day workshop we’ll make the Ornella Top by Spaghetti Western Sewing
.

The Ornella top is a cropped tank featuring a high neck,  scooped armscye, and bralette-shaped cutout.  The neckline is designed to sit at the base of your collarbone bone and the side seam hem is designed to hit your body around your upper hip bone.  Ornella should fit snuggly around the neck/arm area, and gradually loosen to an A line/trapeze style rounded hem.

Class FAQs

What’s your cancellation policy?

Workshop spots are limited, and it's tough to fill seats last minute. If you need to cancel and give more than 48 hours’ notice, you’ll receive a store credit that can be applied to any future class.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before class are not eligible for a refund or credit. I know things come up, but I’m unable to make exceptions to this policy.

If a class doesn’t meet the minimum of three participants, I may cancel it with at least 48 hours’ notice. In that case, you can choose between a full refund or store credit.

The class I want is full, do you have a waitlist?

Yes! Please email me at hello@magiccityfabric.com and let me know which class you'd like to join. I’ll add you to the waitlist and reach out if a spot opens up.

How many people are in each class?

Class sizes are intentionally small to give everyone hands-on attention. Each session is limited to six - ten students.

What if I miss a class?

Single-Session Classes
If you can’t attend a one-time class, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • Cancellations made 48hrs in advance may be eligible for store credit.
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows are not refundable, as supplies and instructor time have already been committed.

Class Series / Multi-Week Classes
We understand that life happens! Because class series are progressive and seats are limited:

  • Missed sessions cannot be refunded or credited.
  • You’re welcome to reach out to the instructor for guidance on catching up, and we may be able to share notes or resources when available.
  • If you know in advance that you’ll miss multiple sessions, we recommend waiting for a future series that better fits your schedule.

Do you teach kids?

Workshops are open to ages 16 and up unless otherwise noted. If you’re registering a teen, please let me know so I can make sure it’s a good fit for them.

Can I bring my own sewing machine or tools?

Yes! In fact, it’s encouraged. Bringing your own machine and tools allows you to practice on the equipment you’ll be using from the start. If you don’t have a machine and would still like to participate, please let us know in advance and we’ll see if one of our rental machines is available.

Can I bring my own fabric?

Yes, as long as you let me know ahead of time! I’ll help you figure out the right yardage and fabric type for the project. You’ll also need to:

  • Wash your fabric before class (to prevent shrinkage)
  • Bring your own coordinating thread

Do you offer private lessons?

Not at the moment, but I’m hoping to offer private lessons in the near future. Stay tuned!
