Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, she relocated to Birmingham to continue growing her craft and sharing her love of sewing with others. What started as a personal hobby has evolved into a thriving business where she creates custom garments, performs alterations, and refashions clothing into unique, stylish pieces. With a deep enthusiasm for teaching, she enjoys helping others develop their sewing skills, whether they are beginners or looking to refine their techniques. Through her work, she aims to inspire creativity and confidence in those who share her love for sewing.

Daly is a lifelong crafter. She loves thrifting for second hand materials and upcycling old items into something new.

Kara
Kara is a multi-faceted fiber artist with experience in sewing, knitting, and whatever her "hobby of the month" seems to be. She is also one of the co-founders and executive directors of the Alabama Fiber Festival. Her teaching approach is very hands on and one of her goals is to help you understand why things work (or don't)! We’re so excited to have her sharing their skills with our community.

Liz Mohr brings over 15 years of sewing experience and a decade of costuming know‑how, specializing in fit for plus‑sized bodies and championing the belief that every body deserves to wear exactly what makes them feel amazing.She adores complex woven patterns, hand‑sewn couture details, and anything that requires borderline unreasonable precision.When she’s not battling against unruly patterns, she’s negotiating peace talks between her feuding cat and dog—while her determined 4‑year‑old oversees the household with great enthusiasm.

Taylor is a writer, river defender, and lifelong crafter with over 6 years of experience in quilting. Their approach is attentive, patient, and encouraging. She wants you to channel your creative juices as the class explores patchwork quilting. Taylor will guide you through the challenges and wins of your first big project, and we’re thrilled to have them sharing their skills with our community.
