LEVEL: Beginner, ages 16+. You should be confident operating a sewing machine, sew in a straight line, and have some recent sewing experience under your belt. If you’ve taken a learn to sew, you are ready for this workshop!
WORKSHOP DETAILS:
In this two day workshop we’ll make the Kite Pants by Matchy Matchy Sewing Club.
The Kite Pants sewing pattern is beginner-friendly and designed for quick, satisfying makes with effortless everyday style. Featuring a high-waisted, ankle-length fit with a softly curved leg, elastic waistband, and four pockets, it also includes a unique side inset ideal for patchworking or color-blocking. Comfortable, modern, and versatile—with a cozy quilted option—these pants are perfect for all-day wear in any season.
WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS
- Required yardage of light-midweight woven fabric for your size, type of fabric will decide the overall shape of the pants. Canvas and denim will make a structured pair, linen and cotton will make a softer more casual pair.
- Sewing machine
- Sewing thread
- 1.5" elastic
- Clips or sewing pins
- Fabric scissors
- Cutting mat
WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE
You will receive an A0 (large paper copy) and a digital copy of the pattern at the end of the workshop so you can keep on creating.

SIZING:
Overall fit is a true high waist, roomy and slightly oversized.
