General class schedule:
Day 1 - Pattern walkthrough, best type of fabric, customizations, discuss pattern layouts. Homework will be washing and cutting your fabric at home.
Day 2: Sewing, fitting, photos!
INSTRUCTOR: Liz
LEVEL: Beginner, ages 16+. You should be able to: operate a sewing machine, sew in a straight line, and have some recent sewing experience under your belt. If you’ve taken a learn to sew, you are ready for this workshop!
WORKSHOP DETAILS:
In this two day workshop we’ll make the Apron Pocket Pants by Matchy Matchy Sewing Club.
The Apron Pocket Pants sewing pattern combines comfort and charm with three versatile views, including a wide leg, a slim leg, and relaxed shorts for warm weather. Designed with a high-waisted elastic waistband and an easy, relaxed fit, all views feature adorable ruffled front patch pockets for a playful touch. Beginner-friendly and quick to sew, these pants are perfect for everyday wear and effortless style.
WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS
- Sewing machine
- Machine needles and thread
- 1.5" elastic
- Clips or sewing pins
- Fabric and paper scissors
- Rotary cutter (optional)
- Cutting mat
WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE
You will receive an A0 (large paper copy) and a digital copy of the pattern at the end of the workshop so you can keep on creating.

SIZING:
Overall fit is a true high waist, roomy and slightly oversized.
